The CIFAL Global Network expanded geographically and thematically, hosting 380 events and reaching 97,407 beneficiaries. New CIFAL Centres were established in six strategic locations.
Global Road Safety Initiative empowers 17,652 beneficiaries and reaches 10 million road users
A total of 17,652 beneficiaries were reached through 73 activities, focusing on road safety management and post-crash response. A Road Safety Virtual Dashboard was developed for Andean Community (CAN) countries. Ministries in CAN built technical capacities for data collection and analysis, leading to targeted interventions in the region.
Launching the Global Breastfeeding Education Initiative
The Global Breastfeeding Education Initiative, launched in March 2023, aims to enhance breastfeeding education worldwide by providing training and educational tools to increase women’s knowledge, skills and confidence. Key achievements include the availability of online courses in 14 languages with 3,019 engaged beneficiaries, and two Training of Trainers Workshops for 67 nurses and midwives from Senegal, Ivory Coast, Mali, Cameroon, and Gabon.
Reducing disaster risk
In collaboration with UNDRR, three online courses on disaster risk reduction (DRR) were offered, reaching 2,196 learners on topics such as scaling up DRR in humanitarian action, resilient city development, and multi-sectoral approaches to integrate public health in disaster management.
